Introducing the Trade Remedies Electronic System (TRES)
The General Authority of Foreign Trade (“GAFT") has developed the Trade Remedies Electronic System (“TRES") to become an interactive electronic platform to manage complaints, investigations, and reviews in trade remedies in accordance with the Law of Trade Remedies in International Trade issued by Royal Decree No. [M/60] dated 29/4/1444 AH corresponding to 23/11/2022 AD and its Executive Regulation issued by the decision of the GAFT Board of Directors No. [55] dated 9/8/1444 AH corresponding to 1/3/2023 AD.
TRES is set to be the main electronic means of communication between the GAFT and the domestic industry, the interested parties, and public interest persons in investigations and reviews. TRES allows direct communication with representatives of the parties who have obtained accounts on TRES and enables them to provide the necessary information according to specified times and to access the non-confidential information in the investigation.
TRES allows the domestic industry, interested parties and public interest persons to perform the following key functions:

The complainant domestic industry may request to open an account on TRES to submit a complaint request electronically.

The domestic industry, foreign exporters/producers, importers, users, and governments of the exporting countries may request to open an account on TRES to participate as an interested party in an investigation or review.

The domestic industry, foreign exporters/producers, importers, users, and governments of the exporting countries may request to open an account on the electronic system to submit a request for review electronically.

A government agency, institution, or association in the Kingdom may request to open an account on TRES to participate as a public interest person in an investigation or review.
